Who We Are

At Twenty Seven Labs, we are a boutique consulting firm built by industry veterans from Chronus Health, IBM Research, and leading biotech companies.

With decades of proven expertise in microfluidics, biosensors, surface chemistry, and point-of-care diagnostics, we specialize in guiding innovative diagnostic technologies from early feasibility to clinical implementation.

Our team has successfully developed breakthrough platforms, including complete blood count (CBC) and comprehensive metabolic panel (CMP) testing systems, bringing a unique blend of technical depth and commercialization experience.

Deep-tech entrepreneur and medical device engineer with 15+ years in diagnostics, biosensing, and microfluidics.

Former Founder & CTO of Chronus Health — led IVD development from concept through IRB-approved clinical studies and FDA pre-submission, securing $28M+ in funding.

Former IBM Research engineer. Six issued US patents and multiple peer-reviewed publications in biosensor technologies and electrochemical detection.

Co-Founder & Partner

Ph.D. chemist with 25+ years in IVD assay and bioconjugation chemistry, specializing in cardiac, infectious disease, and oncology diagnostics.

Leadership roles at Xip Diagnostics, Alamar Biosciences, Wave 80, Takara Bio, and BD Biosciences — directing assay development from feasibility to clinical validation across multiple platforms.

Four issued US patents and multiple peer-reviewed publications. Deep expertise in surface chemistry, bioconjugation, and biosensor functionalization for point-of-care applications.
